Some West Ham fans have been raving over the performance of Ben Johnson against Manchester United on Tuesday evening.

The full-back was electric against the Red Devils, covering almost every blade of grass and really impressing as the Hammers fell to an extra-time defeat.

The Hammers may be out of the cup, but there was plenty to be excited about in Johnson’s performance.

The defender hasn’t played in many games of this magnitude, but it didn’t take long for him to make an impression against United, taking the game by the scruff of the neck and proving to be a real attacking threat as well as a force at the back.

Understandably, it didn’t take supporters too long to rave over him on social media, with one fan christening him as a future captain of the club, while another said that he’s good enough to even play as a striker.

West Ham certainly need more depth up front, and this fan’s suggestion may be something David Moyes has to look at if Michail Antonio sustains an injury.

Here’s what West Ham fans have been saying on social media…
