Leeds United fans have hailed Diego Llorente after his latest interview with BBC Radio West Yorkshire Sport.
Llorente has endured a difficult time at Leeds since signing in the summer, with persistent injuries troubling him.
However, in his latest interview the Spaniard explained how he turned his time on the sidelines into a positive experience.
Although the Leeds defender admits that he has never had to spend so much time in the treatment room before.
He explained how he used the opportunity to become fully accustomed to his new surroundings.
“I made a conscious effort because I couldn’t help the team on the field so what I wanted to do was really immerse myself in everything; what Leeds United means as a club and also as a city,” he said.
Leeds supporters have now been left really impressed by the 27-year-old’s attitude.
And they have used this opportunity to speak about how Llorente’s improvements have caught their eye in recent weeks.
Llorente really has shown a great level of ability with the ball at his feet.
Although there is still some work to do with him on the physical side of the game, and defending from set pieces, the rangy defender looks as if he could be a huge asset to Leeds.
And he will surely play a key role for Marcelo Bielsa’s men between now and the end of the season.
