Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, Ian Wright has lavished praise upon Kieran Tierney after his recent run of good form for Arsenal.
The left-back has been unbelievable in recent weeks, with his goal against West Brom perfectly capping off an incredible run of form.
Arsenal are certainly back in good form, and Ian Wright was naturally very keen to start praising some of the key performers during this period.
Understandably, one man he wanted to wax lyrical about was Tierney, and while he was running through the squad, he gave him some massive praise.
“Tierney is amazing, future captain as you can see.” Wright said during his podcast (43:00)
This is a big shout from Wright.

To be an Arsenal captain you have to be a special player, just look at the list of men who have worn the armband over the years to see what it’s all about.
The likes of Tony Adams, Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas are amongst the best players in the club’s history, and Tierney would be joining an esteemed list if he got the nod.
Of course, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doesn’t look as though he’s going anywhere anytime soon after signing a new contract in the summer, but once his time as captain is up, Tierney may not be a bad choice.
Martin Keown recently told a story about how Arsenal players have to tell Tierney to slow down in training because he’s being too ferocious with his tackling, and that’s really what you want to see from a potential captain, so Wright may be spot on with his view that the Scotsman will wear the armband one day.
