Tyreece John-Jules has shared that he would pretend to be Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba in the playground, as the Arsenal forward told England’s official YouTube channel.

The Arsenal academy product, who is out on-loan at Sheffield Wednesday, shared that he would mimic the multiple Premier League winner because he loved doing his ‘knee slide celebration’.

Well, when John-Jules was growing up watching Drogba play, he surely would have been sick of the sight of the Ivory Coast icon.

Drogba’s record against Arsenal was frightening and one that saw him score again and again against the Gunners, even when he was no longer in Chelsea colours and playing in a pre-season friendly against the north London club.

Nonetheless, when John-Jules was asked who he used to be like on the playground, he issued this response.

“I used to be Drogba,” said John-Jules. “Fun reason because he used to do the knee slide as his celebration.

“I did it on concrete. It means a lot to score in the playground.”

Well, Arsenal would love a man of Drogba’s presence and quality in their final third now because they are really struggling.

It wasn’t so long ago that Mikel Arteta’s side were leading the chase for Champions League football, with games in hand on the chasing pack.

Now, they are three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with only one game in hand on their neighbours.

This comes after suffering three defeats on the bounce, with only Martin Odegaard scoring a long-range speculative effort during that period.
