Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are delighted that Thomas Partey will not play for Ghana during the upcoming international break.

Ghana have named their squad for their upcoming games, and Arsenal defensive midfielder Partey has been felt out.

According to The London Evening Standard, the decision has been taken to due to travel restrictions related to the global health crisis.

Ghana will play South Africa on March 25. South Africa is a county in the ‘red list’, meaning that anyone returning from there to the UK would have to quarantine for 10 days.

Partey is an important player for Arsenal and has had injury problems this season.

The extra bit of rest could help the 27-year-old, and manager Mikel Arteta would not have to worry about him returning from international duty with injury.
