Jody Morris has told Tottenham boss Antonio Conte on his Instagram that his award for being the best coach in Serie A for the 2020-21 campaign is ‘fully deserved’.
The Italian thanked – AIC Gran Gala Del Calcio – or AIC on Instagram for recognising his efforts with Inter Milan last season.
The Nerazzurri won their first Serie A title in nine years and that with a 12-point gap on their rivals
Nonetheless, when Conte took to his social media to thank those for recognising his efforts, ex-Chelsea coach, Morris, posted the following message to the Spurs man yesterday.
“Congratulations Antonio,” wrote Morris. “Fully deserved.”
The Tottenham faithful will be hoping that Conte’s success at Inter, and every other club he has been at, will translate itself in their colours.
Whilst Spurs are desperate to win their first trophy since 2008, it has been over 60 years since they were champions of England.
For Conte to overcome that hurdle something seriously needs to change in north London.
Perhaps taking baby steps and just getting Spurs back into the Champions League would be a starter and then trying to add a domestic trophy to boot.
But, for Conte to get over that line, he needs backing from those upstairs.
In January, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski arrived from Juventus, they have made a huge difference on this Spurs side and proved, added with more fresh faces, they can look up under Conte.
