Fulham will be hoping to continue their good form on Saturday after beating Leicester 2-1 on Monday, but they face a tough task at the Etihad as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City host the Cottagers.

The Whites may have proven that they’re capable of taking points off of a top side at the King Power Stadium, but they are coming up against one of the best teams in the world at perhaps the worst possible time.

City are coming off the back of a 5-0 win over Burnley in the league, and if they continue to be as clinical as they were against the Clarets, this could be a long day for Scott Parker’s side.

However, with Fulham proving to be much more defensively sound as of late, there’s every chance that they could upset the odds here, but in order to do that, Scott Parker needs to select the right team.

We’ve had a go at predicting Fulham’s starting XI for this match.

We think Scott Parker will opt to use the same team that beat Leicester on Monday.

The Fulham manager sprung a few surprises against the Foxes as he opted to use a back-five with Bobby Decordova-Reid playing as a right-wing-back out of possession, pushing up to be a winger while Fulham have the ball.

It’s unlikely that the Whites are going to have most of the ball in this one, so we think they will use the same tactic used against Brendan Rodgers’ side that will see them soak up pressure before trying to catch the opposition out with a fast counter attack.

Unfortunately, this means there is once again no space for either Aleksandar Mitrovic or club captain Tom Cairney in this side.
