The Coventry City academy product was himself promoted, with Fulham on Saturday.

Fulham’s Cyrus Christie has sent a message of congratulations to Coventry City, after his former club’s victory in the League Two play-off final on Monday.
Coventry bounced back to the third tier at the first time of asking, courtesy of a 3-1 win against Exeter City at Wembley – just two days after Christie’s promotion at the same venue with Fulham.
But the 25-year-old still had a moment to spare for his hometown team – and poke fun at his one-time Sky Blues teammate Jordan Willis.

Defender Willis had only scored six goals in 168 career games prior to Monday’s final, where he fired his team into the lead with a superb 20-yard strike shortly after half-time.
And Christie tweeted:
Like Willis, Christie came through the academy system at Coventry, but moved to Derby County four years ago.
The Republic of Ireland international left Pride Park for Middlesbrough last summer, before joining Fulham in January.
