Fulham face Hull City on Sunday in the FA Cup, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Fulham 2-2 Hull City
This is going to be a competitive game with Hull desperate to pick up some momentum. Neither team are blessed with solid defences so expect goals, but ultimately it could end up with a result nobody wants: A replay.
Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic
Fulham 1-1 Hull City
There are few more dangerous Championship opponents than Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham when they hit form but Hull appear a more dogged, organised outfit under Marco Silva. Expect the two to cancel each other out at Craven Cottage.
New Hull City manager Marco Silva
Fulham 1-2 Hull City
Hull City have a League Cup semi-final to contend with tonight, as well as an incredibly difficult challenge of staying in the Premier League, especially given the departures of Jake Livermore and soon Robert Snodgrass this week. However, their paper-thin squad means they have no choice but to field a strong XI against Fulham, and Marco Silva is a man determined to win regardless of competition.
Fulham 1-3 Hull City
Hull are looking on the up since their chance of manager and while Fulham will be hopeful of an upset I can see a comfortable win for the Tigers.
Fulham 1-1 Hull City
Hull seem to be a much more organised and resolute team under Marco Silva, and although they may not quite have enough to beat a Fulham side impressing in the Championship this season – especially after Thursday’s League Cup semi-final, I think they will secure a replay.
Fulham’s Tom Cairney
Fulham 2-1 Hull City
Fulham have morphed into a thoroughly decent outfit under Slavisa Jokanovic, and I fancy them to sneak past Hull, who have endured a stressful week on and off the pitch.
