Serhou Guirassy will reportedly be available for just £17 million next summer with Premier League duo Nottingham Forest and Fulham keen on the Bundesliga’s top scorer.
The most in-form centre-forward in European football right now is not Erling Haaland. It’s not even Robert Lewandowski or Lautaro Martinez. It’s a well-travelled Frenchman who, with 10 goals in just five games to start the new campaign, is threatening to shatter Bundesliga records like plates at a Greek wedding.
Only Lewandowski has ever scored quite so many at this stage of the season.

And if there was interest in the Stuttgart talisman this summer – Nottingham Forest keen and Fulham holding talks – then you guarantee there will be even more next summer. Especially with BILD reporting that, within the next 12 months, the £17 million release clause in Serhou Guirassy’s contract will become active.
Serhou Guirassy is Europe’s best striker right now
“He is in the form of his life in my opinion. He is incredibly strong,” Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness beamed after Guirassy became the first Stuttgart player in 55 years to hit the eight-goal mark after just four matches (DW).
“We hope he carries on like this.”
With another two against Darmstadt on Friday (one lashed into the top corner form distance and the other dinked delicately over an advancing goalkeeper) Guirassy is showing no signs of slowing down, even if a dip in form – for both him and for Stuttgart – feels inevitable at some point.
Fulham’s Mitrovic replacement
Fulham seem almost certain to come knocking again; an Aleksandr Mitrovic-shaped black hole sucking some of the fun out of Marco Silva’s side. Nottingham Forest are hardly prolific either. Steve Cooper’s entire squad has fewer goals in the opening month of this season than Guirassy has all on his own in the Bundesliga.

“We have seen the entire Guirassy range,” Hoeness adds. “This also includes the fact that he notices when it is important to run and when work hard without the ball.
“He doesn’t take himself too seriously.”
Guirassy may not, but Bundesliga defences are certainly being forced to take Guirassy seriously these days.
