Fulham in constant talks for Justin Kluivert after Roma deemed bid ‘offensive’
According to Calciomercato, Fulham are in constant negotiations with Roma over a deal to sign Justin Kluivert before Thursday’s deadline. Marco Silva is determined to see the Dutch dynamo head to Craven Cottage, but the Premier League side have so far fallen well short.

Roma will not grant the 23-year-old’s departure from the Stadio Olimpico for anything less than €10m (£8.5m). Yet Fulham sought to secure his signature for just €3m (£2.5m) before potential future bonuses. A figure that the Giallorossi hierarchy believed to be ‘offensive’.

Kluivert has already agreed to move to west London if Fulham and Roma can agree on the terms of his transfer. Foot Mercato noted earlier in August that the two-cap international gave his blessing to a Premier League switch, amid a loan-to-buy offer worth €12m (£10m).
The option to buy would have been mandatory if Fulham avoid an immediate relegation to the Championship this season. A package worth around £10m would have also seen Roma recoup marginally more of the initial £15m they paid Ajax in 2018, but favour his exit now.

Ajax could rival Marco Silva with Antony now off to Manchester United
Roma are in no urgent need to agree to lesser terms with Fulham for Silva to sign Kluivert before Thursday’s deadline, either. De Telegraaf have cited the Zaandam native as one of the goals on Ajax’s list to replace Antony, who is now joining Manchester United for £86m.
But the Giallorossi will hope to agree a deal with one of his possible suitors before the end of the window. Kluivert is now in the final year of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico after returning from a season-long loan in Ligue 1 with OGC Nice for four goals and five assists.
