Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa claims he doesn’t know anything about the rumours linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, AS report.

The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Villarreal from Fulham.

Anguissa joined Fulham in the summer of 2018. However, he managed just 16 Premier League starts as Fulham suffered relegation back to the Championship.

The Whites then loaned him out to Villarreal for the 2019-20 campaign. And his form in Spain has bizarrely attracted the interests of Real Madrid.

Anguissa, however, says he can’t confirm anything about his future.

“I don’t know anything. I definitely can’t confirm anything. I’m not someone who reads or listens [to rumours]. My agent and me have a deal: he takes care of everything that is going on around me and I just concentrate on the pitch. At the end of the season we’ll see if there’s anything interesting but I can’t say we’ve had contact with this person or that peron, I’d be lying,” the Cameroon international explained.

Anguissa has made 25 La Liga appearances for Villarreal this season.

But Superdeporte claim Villarreal will not exercise his £22 million buyout option as the Spanish club haven’t been convinced by the midfielder’s performances.

Anguissa will return to Fulham. His future in West London, however, may depend on which division Scott Parker’s side are playing in next season.

The Whites occupied third place in the Championship prior to the Covid-19 suspension.

Question marks remain over how the 2019-20 season will be completed in England. Fulham will be desperate to continue as they look for an immediate return to the top-flight.
