Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has told the club’s official website what he expects from Aston Villa this weekend.

The Cottagers will take on Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

“Aston Villa changed their coach, and always this is extra motivation for the team,” Jovanovic told Fulham’s official website. “Their squad is full of quality players.

“I don’t know what kind of risk they will take against us. I expect they will try to be solid, strong, and try to surprise us if we make mistakes, or try to catch us on the counter-attack.

“Aston Villa is a big name, good squad, experienced coach, and we have to be ready for everything that is in front of us.”

Fulham will head into the match against Villa on the back of a 2-2 draw with Norwich City at home in the Championship.

The London outfit are 11th in the league table at the moment with 18 points from 13 matches, just three points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.

Meanwhile, Villa currently find themselves 18th in the Championship table with 14 points from 13 matches.

Steve Bruce’s side are just two points above the relegation zone and are still in danger of going down to League One at the end of the season.

The Villans, though, returned to winning ways on Tuesday evening when they got the better of Reading 2-1 away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship.

Villa will fancy their chances of winning against Fulham, but one should not be surprised if the match at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon ends in a draw.
