The Chelsea midfielder was managed by Fulham’s new boss Claudio Ranieri at Leicester City.

It follows Fulham’s shock appointment of Claudio Ranieri as manager on Wednesday.
The former Chelsea and Leicester manager worked with Drinkwater during his time in charge of the latter club, with whom they lifted the Premier League title in 2016.
Drinkwater was later sold to Chelsea by Ranieri’s successor, Craig Shakespeare, but has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge with his only appearance of the current campaign coming in the Community Shield.

And a mid-season move is therefore plausible, with Fulham (2/1) the early frontrunners, ahead of Leicester (8/1), with Bournemouth (20/1), West Ham United (22/1) and Newcastle United (33/1) all distant contenders.

Could Chelsea’s Drinkwater reunite with Fulham’s Ranieri in January?
