Fulham want Jannik Vestergaard as they consider backing way from signing West Ham United’s Issa Diop.
The Cottagers have been chasing major signings this summer but Marco Silva has suffered a frustrating window.
Andreas Pereira, Joao Palhinha, Kevin Mbabu and Manor Solomon have all arrived but a number of potential signings have slipped through the net.
Fulham still want to sign a centre back and they are now turning their attention to another possible addition in that area of the pitch.
Fulham want Jannik Vestergaard
The Sun report that Fulham are now targeting a deal for Leicester City defender Jannik Vestegaard.
It’s stated that Fulham would like to secure a loan deal for the Danish ace to bolster Silva’s back line.
Leicester would want a permanent deal worth around £12million though, meaning there is some work to be done on this deal.
Leicester paid £16million to sign Vestergaard from Southampton last summer but are now ready to take a loss on the defender.
Vestergaard started just six Premier League games last season and seemingly hasn’t impressed Brendan Rodgers.

The 29-year-old is a huge presence at 6ft 6in tall and showed at Southampton that he could be a solid Premier League defender.
The Foxes are ready to cut their losses and offload Vestergaard though, with Fulham now showing a major interest.
This comes as Fulham seemingly face problems in their pursuit of West Ham United defender Issa Diop.
Foot Mercato in Diop’s native France reported last week that Fulham had offered a deal worth £15million for Diop.
West Ham wanted £18million for Diop though, meaning the deal stalled and Fulham have gone away to find other, potentially cheaper targets.
Vestergaard certainly fits that bill and it may leave Diop stuck at West Ham for the foreseeable future unless another suitor emerges.
