The Cottagers boss has a fully fit squad to choose from for the short trip to Brentford.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference and quoted by the club’s official Twitter account, Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed that he has every player fit for selection ahead of his side’s visit to Brentford on Friday evening.

The news will come as a boost to Fulham fans, who will make the short trip to their neighbours full of confidence having seen their side thump Huddersfield 5-0 at Craven Cottage last weekend.

In recent weeks defender Tomas Kalas has been the only absentee, but the Czech defender came through last weekend’s match unscathed and even found the net in the unexpectedly comprehensive win.

Buoyed by the Huddersfield success, Jokanovic went on to stress the importance of the fixture between the two clubs, whose grounds sit just over five miles apart.

“It’s a derby. I understand it’s a very important day for us, and our supporters too. I believe we are ready,” Jokanovic said.

The former Watford boss will be hoping for a vast improvement from last year’s performance in this fixture, when his side were subject to a first half blitz at Griffin Park and found themselves three goals down by the break.

Brentford striker Scott Hogan scored twice on that occasion, and the Fulham manager singled out the 24-year-old as someone for his side to keep a particular eye on.

Fulham have been plagued by inconsistency so far this season, but find themselves just three points adrift of the play-off places going into the weekend’s fixtures – a win by three goals on Friday evening would even nudge them into the top six ahead of Saturday’s matches.

With Chris Martin starting to find his goalscoring touch and Sone Aluko and Lucas Piazon continuing to impress, the Cottagers certainly have quality in attacking areas.

Their West London neighbours will be tough opponents, but Fulham will make the short journey feeling that they have every chance of coming away with a result.
