Fulham officially have the lowest average away following in the Championship, according to recent statistics.
General View of Craven Cottage
It has not been the most ideal start to the season for Fulham who have fallen away following a promising first few games. They find themselves down in 14th with no win in seven games in all competitions, and it appears that their fans are not too happy about it.
As reported by Get West London, the Cottagers have the lowest average away following in the Championship so far this season.
The news includes their West London rivals, with QPR taking up second place when it comes to a lack of fan traveling. So far this season Fulham’s average away attendance is a lowly 527, with the club only taking 2,637 total supporters over the course of their first five away trips.

If you compare that to top of the table Aston Villa who are averaging 3,417 then the difference is staggering. Unsurprisingly the numbers tend to coincide with the quality of results that the teams are getting, however the term sticking with your side through thick and thin should indicate that you should travel regardless of your side’s form. After all this is the Championship, which is known for being the one most unpredictable leagues in the world.
Perhaps this is a sign that the football powers in the region are shifting over to Brentford, or maybe it has just been a poor few weeks for the Fulham following. Time will tell.
