Fulham beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Fulham’s fine Championship form continued on Saturday afternoon as they beat promotion rivals Aston Villa 2-0 at Craven Cottage.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s side had dropped just four points in their previous nine Championship games heading into Saturday’s game, catapulting themselves into the play-off places.
Fulham made it eight wins in 10 with a fine victory on Saturday, with Ryan Sessegnon finishing smartly from Ryan Fredericks’ cutback to put the hosts into a second half lead.

Floyd Ayite put the seal on the win with a stunning long-range goal, capitalising on Sam Johnstone’s mis-kicked clearance to hand Fulham a 2-0 victory and continue their push for the top two.
Manager Jokanovic will be pleased with another home win, and also with the performance of striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who was making his first start for the club since his deadline day move from Newcastle United.
The Serbian striker had become an outcast under Rafael Benitez at Newcastle, so jumped at the chance to work with compatriot Jokanovic in West London when the offer of a loan deal until the end of the season materialised.

During and after Saturday’s game, Fulham fans took to Twitter to comment on Mitrovic’s performance, using words such as ‘outstanding’ and ‘brilliant’ to describe his display having led the line admirably.
Others suggested that Mitrovic brings a new dimension to the Fulham team and was a thorn in John Terry’s side, whilst praising him for his intelligence and passion.
