Aston Villa are reportedly keen on Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli.

Aston Villa have confirmed yet another signing today, with Douglas Luiz arriving from Manchester City subject to a work permit.
Villa have now signed up Luiz, Matt Targett, Ezri Konsa, Bjorn Engels, Trezeguet, Jota and Wesley, as well as signing loanees Kortney Hause, Tyrone Mings and Anwar El Ghazi permanently.
That’s 10 deals done this summer, totalling more than £100million, but Villa aren’t done in the transfer market just yet, with a new goalkeeper wanted.
Jed Steer was solid towards the end of the season, but with Lovre Kalinic struggling to settle, a new first-choice stopper appears to be on Dean Smith’s wish list.
A number of names have been linked, and the latest is Fulham’s Marcus Bettinelli, as the Daily Mail report that Villa and Bournemouth are both keen to sign him.
The 27-year-old missed a large chunk of the season with a major knee injury, but did play a key part in Fulham’s promotion last year, leading to an England call-up in September.

With Sergio Rico gone, Bettinelli will be hoping to become Fulham’s first-choice unless he moves on – and it seems that some Cottagers supporters wouldn’t be too sad to see him go.
Some are begging Villa to take Bettinelli, feeling that he simply isn’t good enough and wouldn’t be missed at all, adding that the money can be put to a better goalkeeper as some waved goodbye already – even without Villa even making a bid.
