Fulham manager Marco Silva has heaped praise on Tottenham striker Harry Kane in his post-match press conference, as per Tottenham fan Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel – after the England skipper scored the only goal of the game.

Kane, 29, took his tally to 16 goals in 21 Premier League games – and 18 in all competitions – with a gorgeous effort from the edge of the box. Drifting past Fulham defender Tim Ream, he curled an effort past Bernd Leno in the corner.

The Spurs striker is in excellent form at the moment. His goal was his fifth in seven games since returning from the World Cup, quickly extinguishing any concerns that his missed penalty against France would affect his club form.

His goal also equals Tottenham’s all-time goalscoring record held by Jimmy Greaves – a huge 266 for Spurs. Fulham boss Silva has applauded Kane for his goal on Monday night at Craven Cottage, describing him as a “good footballer”.

“The game was decided by a good footballer. We were punished by a great finish for him and that’s what happens when you lose control,” Fulham boss Silva said in his post-match press conference, when discussing the 1-0 defeat.

Kane has been superb this season and continually, he carries Tottenham. Jermaine Jenas even took to Twitter after he equalled Greaves’ record, saying he is carrying Antonio Conte’s side this season. Spurs remain in fifth place in the table.

It was a superb goal and once again, Kane has created something out of nothing to win a game for Spurs. Truly, pulling the rabbit out of a hat for Spurs. Will Kane stay? That is another question, but Spurs desperately need to tie him down.

You would expect that Kane wants to remain at Spurs to become the all-time Premier League record goalscorer. But if Spurs fail to finish in the top four, you would expect that the likes of Manchester United and others could be tempting.
