Speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has been discussing Luke Harris after he got his first senior start for Fulham in midweek against Sunderland.
The teenager was handed the chance to start in the FA Cup this week, and according to Jones, Fulham are giving Harris more chances to try to keep him at the club.
Jones says that there are a number of big clubs keen on Harris, stating that Chelsea have been having a look at the player, but the Whites are desperate to keep hold of him.

Fulham want to keep Harris
Jones shared what he knows about this young player.
“Luke Harris got a run out, that’s important. I was speaking to someone about him last week and they’re having to give him opportunities at the moment because there’s some big interest in trying to get him out of there,” Harris said.
“Other clubs consider him to genuinely be one of the best prospects around basically. Chelsea have been having a look too and Fulham are desperate to make sure they don’t lose another one.”
Got to keep him
Harris may not be at the level to be starting for Fulham on a weekly basis just yet, but the Whites need to keep him just to avoid more embarrassment on the academy front.
Fulham have let the likes of Harvey Elliott, Djed Spence and Fabio Carvalho slip through their fingers in recent years, and they can’t let the same situation play out with Harris.
If the west London club want to make the next step in their development, they have to keep hold of their academy gems, and that starts with Harris.
