Don Hutchison thinks Liverpool’s owners FSG are saving themselves in the transfer market and they will make ‘a couple of big ones’ during the summer transfer window, including Jude Bellingham.

This comes after Liverpool only signed Cody Gakpo during the January transfer window, with no midfield arrivals, despite the club’s struggles in the Premier League and especially in the middle of the park.

Back in the summer, Jurgen Klopp made a late U-turn during the final few weeks of the window and decided to push for a midfielder, despite previously claiming that they weren’t going to sign one.

That’s when Arthur Melo arrived on a season-long loan deal from Juventus, only for the player to get injured and now he’s yet to start a single Premier League game heading into the final few months of the season.

All in all, the club’s current situation isn’t sitting well with the supporters, but Hutchison is pretty optimistic and he thinks the big names will arrive, as he posted on Twitter.

IS KLOPP BEING BACKED PROPERLY?

Chelsea spent a British transfer fee on Enzo Fernandez, Manchester City are stacked with midfield options, Manchester United signed Marcel Sabitzer on loan after Christian Eriksen’s injury, whilst Arsenal added Jorginho.

Yet, those on Merseyside, who need midfield players more than anyone, brought in a total of zero players last month.

Will that big-name midfielder sign in the summer? There has been long-standing rumours involving England’s ‘elite’ star, Jude Bellingham.

But will he even sign if there is no Champions League football at Anfield next season? Equally, should fans trust FSG, who are looking to sell up, to actually splash the cash in the summer? Because when they weren’t looking to move on, they weren’t exactly backing Klopp from the top of the hill to the bottom.
