Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on Raphinha amid plenty of interest in the Brazilian.
The winger is an incredibly talented player, but after Leeds’ recent struggles, there’s a very real chance of relegation at Elland Road.
Inevitably, that has led to interest in Raphinha, and some of Europe’s biggest clubs are keen on him, including Barcelona.
According to Romano, Raphinha would be very keen to join La Blaugrana this summer.
What’s been said?
Romano shared what he knows about Raphinha.
“Yes, Raphinha is another name that is on the table of Barcelona, he is not a free agent so it is a different situation. I speak about the interest in Raphinha because from what I’m told, Barcelona alongside Chelsea and Liverpool were interested, but now Chelsea are on standby and Liverpool will decide what player they want to sign in the coming weeks and months,” Romano said.
“Barcelona have a great relationship with Deco, the agent of Raphinha, Barca are really interested in Raphinha and from what I’m told, the player would be more than attracted by Barcelona.”

The Deco factor
Liverpool may want to sign Raphinha, but if Barcelona and Chelsea are in the mix, they may not win this race.
As Romano says, Raphinha’s agent is Deco, and having played for Barcelona and Chelsea during his career, he may prefer to guide his client towards either of those clubs.
Of course, Chelsea’s current restrictions are a factor, so Barcelona have the advantage on that front, but if Chelsea’s ownership is sorted, don’t be surprised if they go back in for the Leeds United star.
