Jamie Redknapp has told the Sky Sports Premier League podcast that he has been hearing a lot of good things about Cristian Romero from those at Tottenham Hotspur.
Making an impact
Romero only joined Spurs in the summer, but he has quickly stepped into their central defensive role.
The Argentine is rapidly becoming one of the first names on the team sheet at Spurs.
And Redknapp certainly appears to believe that the 23-year-old has a very bright future in North London, after being tipped off about his ability.
“I do think with Tottenham there are some positives. Romero, I think he can be a player. I like him,” he said.
“He made a bit of a mistake and got done for the goal against Newcastle.
“But from what I hear and what I see I think he’s going to be a really good signing for them, so there are aspects of Tottenham I really like.”
Making a mark

Romero was one of Fabio Paratici’s first signings at Tottenham, as the transfer chief looked to stamp his mark on Spurs’ team.
Not all of his additions this summer have had huge impacts so far, but Romero does indeed look like the pick of the bunch.
After a slow start, Romero has begun to prove himself in recent weeks and now looks fully adjusted to Premier League football.
The Tottenham centre-back is almost certain to start tomorrow when Nuno’s side take on Manchester United, in a game which could be vital for the Portuguese boss’s future at the club.
