Heung Min-Son has defined Tottenham’s lethargy in recent weeks.
Heung-Min Son was disappointing once again as Tottenham Hotspur’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season ended against Chelsea.
The South Korean was substituted after 64 minutes, in which he managed 35 touches and did not create a single chance or manage a shot on target.

His form has regressed back to the depths of late last season, after a stirring start to the 2016/17 campaign.
With Harry Kane suffering an early season injury, Son stepped up, scoring prolificly including the winner in their sole Champions League win against CSKA Moscow.
After the October international break he has not been the same player, failing to score or provide an assist in nine consecutive matches.
And there in lies the conundrum, that if Son is not adding a goal threat, then he is not contributing positively to Tottenham’s performances either.

His woeful form at the end of last season was defined by a limp 45 minutes away at Newcastle on the best forgotten 5-1 defeat on the final day of the season.
This even led to speculation he could be sold in the summer, and that seemed like a low point he had recovered from as he began the 2016/17 season in fantastic form.
If Son was ‘on fire’ in September, the flame has now well and truly been extinguished, and Tottenham are struggling to find a way to re-ignite it.
He is struggling to link up with Harry Kane and lacking the killer edge he had in front of goal early in the campaign.
Only a lack of viable alternatives is keeping him in the Tottenham side right now, but after suffering their first league loss of the season, Mauricio Pochettino may soon be about to ring the changes.
