Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Jurgen Klopp’s future at Liverpool.
The manager once again reaffirmed his plans to leave Anfield in 2024 this week, and Romano has shared what he knows about the situation.
Romano says that the Liverpool board believe that Klopp isn’t desperate to leave Liverpool, but the journalist maintains that there is a chance that he does exit in 2024, stating that the German’s next destination could be La Liga.
What’s been said?
Romano shared what he knows about Klopp.
“From what I am told from the Liverpool board, these comments are like ‘I have a contract’, but he is not acting like a manager who is desperate to leave the club. The message isn’t that Klopp is desperate to leave Liverpool. Luis Diaz joined Liverpool because of Jurgen Klopp. He’s 100% focused on Liverpool, but yes, I think there are chances for him to leave in 2024. He’s always been, from what I am told, attracted from La Liga, so who knows what happens with Real Madrid and Barcelona in the coming years,” Romano said.

Hopefully not
Romano says that Klopp could leave in 2024, but we’re sure that every Liverpool fan on the planet hopes that he stays.
Klopp is arguably the Reds’ greatest manager of the modern era, and once he leaves, there’ll be some huge shoes to fill.
The gaffer, understandably, wants a sabbatical, but if there’s still the prospect of winning more trophies at Liverpool, he may be tempted to stay on for a few more years.
Fingers crossed Liverpool can figure out a way to keep Klopp on board.
