Speaking to Stadium Astro, Steve McManaman has been discussing Luis Diaz and his showings since arriving at Anfield.
The winger has hit the ground running in the Premier League, and he was at it again on Tuesday evening against Manchester United.
Diaz has taken to Engish football like a duck to water, and McManaman says that he’s been surprised by the impact the Colombian has had.

McManaman was full of praise for Diaz.
“I think he’s surprised us, he doesn’t know the English language yet, it must be hard for him to interact with a lot of the players, I know the Spanish speaking lads and the Brazilian lads could converse with him, but it’s a new country, a new lifestyle, he’s had to adapt, but from minute one he’s looked like a Liverpool player, and that’s the biggest compliment you can give, he looks like he’s been here for a number of years, which is a fantastic sign,” McManaman said.

Luis Diaz looked like a fantastic player over in Portugal, but the fact that he’s kicked on like this is in the Premier League is, quite simply, unbelievable.
Diaz is already one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players, he was trusted to play the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, and he was once again trusted to play against Manchester United on Tuesday, and that’s because he’s shown his quality every single time he steps onto the pitch.
The scary thing is, Diaz has only been in England for three months, imagine what he’ll be like when he’s truly bedded in at Anfield.
The winger could be a genuine superstar in years to come.
