Trevor Sinclair has suggested talkSPORT (18/08/21 at 10:45 am) that Wednesday’s claims about Tottenham striker Harry Kane have ‘come from Charlie Kane’.
There have been claims made by the Telegraph that Daniel Levy hasn’t stuck by his supposed promise of allowing Kane to leave this summer if they didn’t win a trophy or get into the top four.
It has also been claimed that Levy ‘signed off’ on Kane having an ‘extra week holiday’, but there has been ‘miscommunication’, which has resulted in fans turning against the Tottenham player.
But former Manchester City winger, Sinclair, thinks all of this information is being fed by the agent of the Spurs striker and questioned what credentials he has to be dealing with such situations.
On the latest rumours about Kane: “It’s probably from the Harry Kane camp,” said Sinclair. “It’s not going to be from the Spurs camp, is it?
“For me, it must have come from Charlie Kane, his agent. I think there are a few things that have gone on.
“I think there may have been an assumption that Manchester City would have got the green light for a £125 million bid, which I think has gone in.
“I think Daniel Levy is playing hardball. I think Harry Kane has made a mistake by, I wouldn’t say hiring his brother as his agent, but what experience has his brother got in an agency? Dealing with big directors of football? Like Daniel Levy.”

It seems pretty clear now that Kane’s party still think a transfer to Manchester City is possible.
There isn’t long left until the window slams shut and potentially puting Kane in an embarrassing situation of staying after all the drama that has unfolded since Euro 2020 concluded.
Either way, you have to feel for Manchester City because they have only spent close to £1bn on players and it’s not like they spent £100 million on a player this summer, did they?!
Even then they can’t put a European trophy in their cabinet.
But I suppose history will always show that Man City are a rich club and not a big club, although that’s what the fans see and not the players.
