Tottenham Hotspur target Wilfried Zaha will reportedly sign a new contract with Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha will sign a new contract with the London club, according to The Guardian.
It has been reported that Zaha has told Palace that he is willing to sign a five-year deal worth £110,000 a week.
The former Manchester United winger currently earns £60,000 a week at Palace, according to The Guardian.
Blow for Tottenham Hotspur?
According to The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City all are interested in signing Zaha in the summer transfer window.
If the Ivory Coast international does sign a new contract with the Eagles, then some could consider it as a blow for North London club Tottenham.
However, as reported by The Guardian, the 24-year-old will earn £110,000 a week at the Eagles, which is quite a lot of money and would not fit Spurs’ wage structure.
While Zaha would be a decent signing for Tottenham, it would not be worth paying £110,000 a week to a player who, despite having a very productive 2016-17 campaign, still has to fully convince that he can develop into a superb player in the long run.
Moreover, Tottenham have a better, more talented and versatile winger in Erik Lamela, who spent most of this season out injured.
