Liverpool will welcome Everton to Anfield on Sunday.

Heavyweight boxer, and lifelong Toffees fan Tony Bellew spoke exclusively to Sky Sports today ahead of the Merseyside Derby on Sunday, and expressed his admiration for the Reds’ front four, labelling them as ‘frightening’.

Everton head to Anfield to take on Liverpool for the lunchtime kick-off in the Premier League on Sunday, and both sides are in good form, with Sam Allardyce’s men racking up three consecutive wins in all competitions, whilst Jürgen Klopp’s side have been sensational of late, scoring 12 goals in their last two outings.

Many are predicting a one-sided encounter between the Merseyside rivals, although Big Sam has become renowned for organising his teams defensively and making them incredibly hard to beat.

Whether the Blues can withstand the power and pace of the Reds’ front four though, is another matter all together.

Bellew spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and admitted that the prospect of Everton’s defence squaring off against the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane is keeping him up at night:

Tony Bellew, proffesional boxer is seen in the stands during the Premier League match between Everton and West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park on March 11, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

“I’m not too optimistic. The form Liverpool are in, and their forward four, it frightens me it really does. It keeps me up at night to be honest.”

Klopp’s troops will be desperate for all three points, as they look to keep pace with the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea above them in the table, whilst Allardyce’s side will be equally as determined to win, with the prospect of a top seven spot now seeming like a realistic prospect.

The game kicks off at 14:15 and can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports.
