Liverpool have made contact with Barcelona over the signing of Ousmane Dembele, according to Sport.
It has been reported by the Spanish publication this morning (9:34am UK time, September 18, 2020) that in the last hours, Liverpool have got in touch with Barcelona over signing Dembele on a loan deal.
The Premier League champions are reportedly ready to pay a loan fee and his salary for the Frenchman – whose “pace is frightening in training”, according to his Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, as quoted in GiveMeSport – but the Spanish and European giants are unlikely to accept it, according to the report.
Sport has claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that ‘Dembele’s skill and speed would add another dimension to’ his side.
Would Ousmane Dembele make Liverpool better?
Dembele has had injury problems during his time at Barcelona, but the France international forward is only 23 years of age.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is hugely talented, and he would be a very good option for Liverpool manager Klopp.
True, the Reds have a very strong attacking unit, but every team has room for improvement and can get better, even the Premier League champions.
