A few days on from Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain, and RMC Sport have released in-depth footage of the game.

The footage picks up what players on both sides were saying during the fast-paced clash, including one remark from match-winner Riyad Mahrez.

As İlkay Gündoğan laid on the turf following Idrissa Gueye’s shocking tackle, the Algerian was seen mocking Mitchel Bakker.

You can see what Mahrez said to the 20-year-old in a freeze frame below.

As you can see, Get French Football News have kindly translated the Manchester City hero’s comments.

On a night where superstars such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Kevin De Bruyne were on the pitch, these comments must’ve embarrassed Bakker.

We felt the 20-year-old had a good game, but he will presumably have felt 10cm tall after Mahrez’s taunting remark.

Nevertheless, it was a heated game which both sets of players were clearly desperate to win.

After Gueye almost broke Gündoğan’s leg, you can understand why tempers may have been raised in the heat of the moment.

It wasn’t a nice thing for Mahrez to say, although that is football.

We’re pretty sure that Manchester City’s No.26 has had a lot worse said to him over the years!
