Whatever Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman and Patrick Vieira are doing at Crystal Palace, they could bottle it up and sell it to thousands.

The trio – among other staff members, and of course, the players – are working wonders at Selhurst Park right now.

Impressively, the south Londoners sit 12th in the Premier League, and have a trip to Wembley booked as they prepare for an FA Cup Semi-Final against Chelsea.

Now, a fresh announcement from the Football Association proves the Eagles are currently outdoing the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United…

What’s the story?

Well, after injuries to Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Gareth Southgate revised his England squad for the upcoming friendly clashes with Switzerland and the Ivory Coast.

As a result, Tyrick Mitchell has been given a maiden call-up to the Three Lions, meaning Crystal Palace now have three players in the England squad.

Marc Guéhi and Conor Gallagher are also included. Of course, the latter is on loan from Chelsea, although he hadn’t earned a call-up before joining the Eagles, so Crystal Palace can take credit for his inclusion.

Crystal Palace are in an excellent place

In truth, the Eagles could’ve had four inclusions if Eberechi Eze didn’t suffer a serious Achilles injury – according to the Guardian, he was in the provisional squad for EURO 2020.

Crystal Palace also boast the likes of Michael Olise, Odsonne Edouard and Wilfried Zaha in their ranks, all of whom are thriving under Vieira.

Furthermore, a £20m, state-of-the-art academy was recently built by the Eagles in the heart of south London, which should see many more players like Mitchell, Zaha and Wan-Bissaka produced.

To put it simply, there probably hasn’t been a better time to be a Crystal Palace fan – the Eagles are soaring.
