De Jong says Tottenham deserved to reach the final.

Tottenham Hotspur smashed Ajax’s Champions League dream apart with Lucas Moura’s sensational second half hat-trick.
But Moura’s individual brilliance was just the razor sharp edge of a smart tactical fightback from Spurs, who utilised Fernando Llorente effectively in the second half after bringing him off the bench.
Ajax star Frenkie de Jong admitted they had no answers, and commended Tottenham’s away goals victory.
Speaking to AD.nl, De Jong very classily said that Tottenham deserved to go through, despite trailing nearly the whole two legs.
He said: “We were no longer able to play football. Compliments for Spurs. They did well. They also deserve to qualify on the basis of the second half.”

This was De Jong’s final chance to win the Champions League with Ajax, but he will get plenty of chances with Barcelona.
De Jong agreed a £65 million move to the Spanish giants in January which will go through at the end of the season.
Tottenham face Liverpool in the final, who beat Barcelona in midweek in an equally stunning comeback win.
