It has been reported by the French news outlet that Premier League duo Everton and Norwich have closely followed the 16-year-old, who is a pure number nine.
The youngster has been scoring goals regularly for the Nantes Under-17 side and has been selected for the France Under-16 team.
According to Foot Mercato, the 16-year-old scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists for the Nantes Under-17 side this season.
The report in the French media has added that with Everton and Norwich already tracking the youngster, Arsenal could join the race, although it is unclear if Nantes will sell him or not this summer.
Big decision
Mateso is progressing well at Nantes, and it will be quite a big decision from him if Everton, Norwich or Arsenal make an offer to the French club for him this summer.
While the teenager would develop well in familiar surroundings at Nantes, a move to a club in the Premier League could be too tempting for him.
