According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso prefers a move to Bayern Munich over the likes of Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester City and Tottenham.

Tolisso, 22, joined the Lyon ranks in 2007, and has developed into one of their key players since making his first-team debut back in August 2013.

Now, Tolisso has more than 150 appearances to his name for Lyon, and has also picked up one cap for the French national team having emerged as one of Europe’s most promising midfield players.

This past season, Tolisso hit 14 goals in all competitions and also grabbed seven assists in a superb campaign, which appears to have triggered huge interest in his signature.

French newspaper L’Equipe report that a host of clubs want to sign Tolisso, but he currently prefers a move to German giants Bayern Munich ahead of Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester City and Tottenham.

Bayern have seen Xabi Alonso retire, and with a central midfielder now needed in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, it’s believed that a deal of around €40million (£35million) could be on the table to send Tolisso to the Allianz Arena.

Tolisso has pace, power, drive and goalscoring ability, meaning he could be ideal to serve as Mousa Dembele’s heir at Tottenham, but with Tolisso allegedly not viewing Spurs as his first choice, Mauricio Pochettino may well miss out.

A central midfielder should still be on Pochettino’s wish list, but he may have to look elsewhere for recent reinforcemets – as will Chelsea and Manchester City, who will no doubt have a host of targets in mind this summer as they look to splash the cash.
