But a move never materialised and Malcom was said to have been upset with the fallout affecting his form for the Ligue 1 side.

Malcom got back to his best form and finished the season by helping Bordeaux into the Europa League.

Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Spurs have all been credited with a very real interest in the star.

Now a new report from French media outlet Get Football News France claims he will almost certainly be on the move this summer with his undertaking of intensive English lessons an indicator his destination will be the Premier League.

And the report claims his preference to join a club playing Champions League football will see Malcom choose Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side over Unai Emery’s Europa League bound Arsenal.

“The winger himself had stated that he wanted to move on to “an elite club and play for the Brazilian national team” and has been learning English in preparation for his imminent transfer, possibly to the Premier League,” Get Football News France reports.

“Spurs have also been linked with a move for a player who would bring an added source of service from the wing to Harry Kane. Having also tried to bring Malcom to North London this winter, the club had not been able to meet the Bordeaux management’s asking price. With Champions’ League football secured, they would seemingly undoubtedly seem the more attractive prospect to the Brazilian in North London.”

Malcom has been Bordeaux’s key playmaker notching seven assists and 12 goals – many spectacular strikes from distance.
