Saint-Etienne sporting director Dominique Rocheteau has told beIN Sports that a loan deal for Aston Villa’s Jordan Veretout should be completed by Monday.
The French midfielder joined Villa from French club Nantes 12 months ago on a five-year deal.
Many at Villa lauded the deal, what with the player building up an exciting reputation in France and drawing comparisons with some of the top players in the world due to his style of play.

However, Veretout initially struggle dto break in to the Villa firs -team, and once Tim Sherwood lost his job the writing was set in stone for a seemingly disastrious campaign.
The former France U21 international made 25 league appearances with a number of those coming off the bench.

New boss Roberto Di Matteo seemingly hasn’t counted on the player’s services for the current Championshop campaign, and now a loan move to Saint-Etienne is very much on the cards.
“It is not signed yet, but it should be done tomorrow (Monday),” Rocheteau told BeIN Sports.
Villa have bolstered their midfield ranks this summer with the arrivals of Aaron Tshibola and Mile Jedinak, while academy product Gary Gardner looks set to feature more predominently this term.
Veretout still boasts plenty of promise and potential, but a season-long loan move to Saint-Etienne could be the best for both player and club before making a decision on his future next summer.
