Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has explained what he feels has guided his side to four wins from four at home since he took over.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman told Forest Player what he feels is the key to his side’s home form.

Forest have won four out of four at the City ground since Freedman took over and he’s explained what he feels has been the key behind the wins.

“I think if we play in a certain way and the fans see commitment and they see what we’re trying to do, they’ll get behind us and I think that’s the key to it,” said Freedman.

“Playing for the jersey is the biggest thing – I don’t want individuals to get the credit, I want the team to get the credit.”

Fans can suffer any manner of result, as long as they see the qualities which Freedman has alluded to.

Any side which shows loyalty, passion and commitment in front of their home supporters in every match, will develop an identity and an association with the fans.

Supporters know what they’re going to get from the players, which makes it easier for them to get right behind the side in terms of creating an intimidating atmosphere for any team.

That can put the opposition on edge and considering the creativity and pace Forest have in their side, that in turn makes it easier for them to take advantage at the start of big games.

Forest have another big game against Rotherham at home this evening and the fans need to be up for it because the visitors are scrapping away at the wrong end of the Championship table.
