Should Leeds United take a look at Steven Caulker?

Earlier this month after Steven Caulker was released by Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United fans called for the club to sign him up.
The transfer window is now closed and as a free agent, Caulker is one of the most high profile options on the market.
Leeds’ defensive situation has become a little desperate despite claiming a clean sheet in midweek.
Conor Shaughnessy and Matthew Pennington are both out injured, with Liam Cooper suspended and Pontus Jansson one yellow card away from a two-game ban.

Caulker could be a useful addition for the Whites on a short term deal until the end of the season.
He has been training this week with League Two side Luton Town in order to keep his fitness up and earn a deal higher up the football league ladder.
This time last season Caulker was starring for Liverpool after clinching a surprise loan move, although did not earn a permanent switch.
The former Tottenham defender has one England cap earlier in his career and while his slide has been dramatic, he has talent and could be inspired by the big Leeds crowds.
On a free, considering their current options, Caulker could be a very smart addition for the Whites.
