Jack Wilshere has said on The Super 6 Podcast that he would not join Tottenham Hotspur if they came for him.
Wilshere has made it clear that he is an Arsenal man, and has stated that even if Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho called him, he would not accept a move to Spurs.
The 28-year-old midfielder is a free agent at the moment, having left West Ham United in October 2020.
Wilshere said on The Super 6 Podcast when asked about potentially joining Tottenham, as transcribed by The Daily Mail: “Ah I love Mourinho as well, I think he’s an unbelievable coach. But I don’t think I could do it! Let’s be honest as well, they wouldn’t have me!
“I don’t think I could, to be honest. It’s not as if Arsenal got rid of me and kicked me out and there is bad feeling, they offered me a deal and I wanted to try something else. I am an Arsenal man.”

Tottenham Hotspur won’t come calling
Wilshere came through the youth academy at Arsenal and starred for the first team on a regular basis for a number of years.
Injuries affected the Englishman during his time at the Gunners, and his spell at West Ham saw him struggle for playing time.
It is hard to see Tottenham make a move for Wilshere anytime soon, as he is a former Arsenal player and is unlikely to play week in and week out in Mourinho’s current team.
What next for Jack Wilshere?
It will be interesting to see what happens with Wilshere now. The 28-year-old is a very good midfielder who could still do a job for a club in the Premier League.
