The Spaniard would be a fantastic addition to the West Bromwich Albion squad this summer.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis will be desperate to add some creative guile in the attacking wide positions this summer, as he looks to guide his side to an improvement upon las season’s 10th placed finish in the Premier League table.

West Brom’s attacking play could only be described as impotent during the majority of their campaign last term, with the hallmark of their season being dull, tepid performances.

That may sound a little harsh, what with their top-10 finish, but Baggies fans surely expect more, and at the very least, they certainly deserve more than that.

The problem though, is that Pulis is notoriously careful with the money made available to him, and seldom spends recklessly just to appease pundits and fans alike.

With this in mind, an interesting option for them could be free agent Jesus Navas, following his release from Manchester City.

The Spaniard possesses undoubted quality, and despite sometimes lacking when it comes to his final product, his electric pace and direct playing style would undoubtedly be an asset to the West Brom side.

Navas, 31, is heavily experienced in playing at the very highest level, and possesses an impressive CV from his time within the game, including two UEFA Cup winning medals and two Premier League titles.

That kind of winning mentality could prove to be crucial to a team like the Baggies, with not many experienced winners currently amongst the squad at the Hawthorns.

One potential stumbling block, however, could be Navas’ wage demands, with the Daily Star reporting that he was on around £85,000 per week at City.

If some kind of compromise can be reached though, and Pulis manages to bring the Spaniard to the Black Country, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Baggies.
