Free agent winger Andros Townsend is now back training with Tottenham Hotspur having been released by Everton over the summer.
Andros Townsend has been welcomed back to Tottenham Hotspur for training as he seeks to find a new club.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Townsend has been welcomed back to Tottenham’s training ground.
Townsend was released by Everton over the summer and hasn’t yet found a new club.
The 32-year-old was on trial with Burnley over the summer but missed out on a contract under Vincent Kompany.
Townsend told BBC Sport earlier this week that he was in tears after being told he wasn’t earning a Burnley deal – and Tottenham are now helping him out.

Tottenham Hotspur welcome back Andros Townsend
Townsend is now linking back up with Spurs having come up through the club’s youth setup.
The former England winger played 50 Premier League games for Tottenham, scoring three goals.
Mauricio Pochettino sold Townsend to Newcastle United in 2016 and he then spent five years with Crystal Palace before a disappointing stint with Everton.
Now a free agent, Townsend is back at Tottenham but allegedly isn’t being considered as a potential signing.
Townsend isn’t even with the first-team training sessions at the moment and is seemingly using Tottenham’s facilities to aid with his fitness.

Townsend has praised Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham of course hold a special place in Townsend’s heart, and he seemingly loves the new direction of the club.
We are used to seeing Townsend as a pundit these days and he used that role to heap praise on Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.
Townsend told Match of the Day 2 in August that he was finally seeing a Tottenham side trying to play great football against top clubs.
Townsend saw Tottenham beat Manchester United 2-0 and praised Postecoglou for pressing high, playing through the third and counter-pressing in the final third.
The winger added that Tottenham’s ‘best chance’ now comes with giving Postecoglou time in the job.
Townsend is now heading to Spurs training, possibly with the hope of catching Postecoglou’s eye one way or another.
