Woodman is way down the pecking order at Newcastle.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman starred for England during this summer’s Toulon Tournament, as the Young Lions held aloft the trophy – and Toon fans have urged him to stay at St. James’ Park.
The Chronicle claimed on Monday that six clubs are interested in the 21-year-old – two Scottish Premiership sides, one English Championship club and three from the third tier of English football are keen.

Woodman remains well down the pecking order under Rafa Benitez, with the likes of Karl Darlow, Rob Elliot and new signing Martin Dubravka ahead of him.
A disappointing loan spell with Aberdeen will not have helped matters, as Woodman only managed eight appearances despite joining Derek McInnes’ side in January until the end of the season.

Despite all this, Newcastle fans are keen for Woodman to stay on Tyneside and act as back-up at the club, with supporters replying to Woodman’s Tweet on the Toulon Tournament.
He posted: “Another successful summer. Winners of the Toulon Tournament and picking up the best goalkeeper award,” and fans replied urging him to stay at the club.
