Mohamed Elyounoussi is looking like a very shrewd signing by Celtic.

Fraser Forster has paid tribute to Celtic winger Mohamed Elyounoussi for his stunning form in Scotland.
Elyounoussi joined the Hoops on a season-long loan from Southampton and looks to be enjoying his football again following a dismal first year down South.
The Norway international scored twice in Saturday’s League Cup semi-final win over Hibernian,
Overall, he has seven goals in 10 starts across all competitions for Celtic and many Bhoys fans would love to see him in Glasgow for the long term.
Elyounoussi joined the Saints for £16 million in the summer of 2018 but struggled in the Premier League, failing to earn a single minute across the entire campaign.
Forster, who is also on loan from Southampton, saw first hand how much the 25-year-old struggled and believes that he’s finally getting the love and confidence that he was denied in England.
The English goalkeeper, who pocketed the Scots a £10 million transfer fee in 2014 [The Guardian], told Herald Scotland: “Obviously he had a tough year last year as well, it is amazing what a bit of love and confidence can do for you. Ever since he scored that first goal he has not looked back.
“I know more than anyone how hard it was for him last year. And he just looks like a completely different player.”
Elyounoussi can further look a ‘completely different player’ in Forster’s eyes if he helps Celtic to a huge Europa League win this Thursday.
Neil Lennon’s side visit Lazio in Rome and what a huge message Elyounoussi could send to his parent club if he dazzles – or better yet, scores.
