Fraser Forster has insisted that he would highly recommend Celtic to any player who was interested in joining the Scottish Premiership champions, suggesting that it is impossible not to fall in love with the club, the Evening Times reports.
It was with the Hoops that Forster put himself on the map, becoming a Premier League number one upon his Parkhead exit as he joined Southampton.
Meanwhile, Patrick Roberts appears to have enjoyed a similarly fruitful spell having arrived as a somewhat unproven talent, and Scott Sinclair has seemingly transformed his career since arriving from Aston Villa last summer.
And Forster has insisted that any player wondering about whether they should make the move to Celtic if given the chance should not hesitate to make the switch.
“I would definitely recommend Celtic to any player. There is a massive appeal to go there,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.
“You are constantly competing for trophies, you have the Champions League and you have the support and fanbase. It’s a unique club and a lot of people don’t realise how big it is until they see it for themselves.
“It’s a fantastic club and I would always recommend people to go. When they get there, they would just fall in love with the club.”
Although Hoops fans have had to get used to seeing many of their better players leave in recent years, the fact that they have so much quality at one time currently is surely going to boost their chances of keeping that group together.
Those players can look at the rest of the squad and realise that there is the quality for the team to realise their ambitions, and that will not only help them keep the squad together, but it should also enable them to rival other clubs for potential targets.
