Fraser Forster joined Nell Lennon’s Celtic on loan from Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Forster joined Scottish Premiership club Celtic on loan from Premier League club Southampton in the summer of 2019.
The 31-year-old had been struggling for playing time at the Saints, but the England international is now the clear first-choice goalkeeper at the Hoops.
The former Newcastle United prospect has suggested that he was desperate to move to Celtic once he heard about interest in him from the Hoops.
Forster told The Daily Record: “When I found out there was a chance to come back here in the summer I couldn’t get back here quick enough.
“To get back playing at a place I really feel loved, appreciated and wanted, after a very tough 18 months, is really nice.
“And that’s the reason I came back to play in games like that, in that stadium on those nights and everyone sees how special it is.”
Permanent Celtic move?
Celtic are doing well at the moment, and Forster is playing his role for the Glasgow giants.
A permanent switch to the Hoops does make sense, but one suspects that nothing will be finalised yet.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon seems non-committal at the moment, but it is clear that he rates the 31-year-old highly.
Lennon told The Daily Record about a permanent move for Forster: “We’re a long way off that yet. There are so many factors in it.
“We’re grateful for the loan from Southampton. It depends on what the player wants to do and then what Southampton want to do as well.”
Celtic are aiming to win the domestic treble in Scotland this season, as well as progress to the knockout round of the Europa League.
