The Hoops summer signing has spoken highly of the Parkhead defensive duo.

Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster has spoken highly of Parkhead teammates Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien, claiming they’ve done really well over the past few weeks and will only get better as they play more games together (Glasgow Evening Times).
Since conceding four goals at home to CFR Cluj in that fateful Champions League qualifier five weeks ago, the Hoops have tightened up at the back a fair bit, conceding the same number of goals in the seven games that followed, with the two defenders doing exceedingly well overall.
Forster, who moved to Celtic on loan from Southampton in the summer and is valued by Transfermarkt at £7.2million, has played in the last four of those games, conceding just twice in games against Hearts, Rangers, Hamilton and on Thursday night against Rennes in the Europa League, and that last one was from a penalty.
When asked if that has been the foundation for Celtic’s improving defensive record, Forster is quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times as saying: “I think so, it’s the spine of the team. Everyone builds those relationships with the players around them. All over the park it is important to build upon those relationships.

“I think [Ajer and Jullien] have been brilliant. It’s one of them, the more games they play together the more that partnership will build and build. I think they’ve done really well, they’re good on the ball, they get on the ball and play from the back which is good… I’ve been very impressed by the two of them. They are two very good players and I imagine they will get better and better.”
Up next for Neil Lennon’s side is Sunday’s Scottish Premiership game against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
