A host of clubs are reportedly targeting former Rangers youngster Fraser Aird.

According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic are all interested in signing Falkirk’s former Rangers youngster Fraser Aird.
Aird, 22, terminated his contract with Rangers in January, and subsequently moved on to Falkirk, where he has made 11 appearances this season.
The Canadian international also hit the headlines last month with a goal against Scotland, with the right back enjoying a particularly fruitful stage of his career right now.
In fact, the Daily Mail claim that three Championship clubs – Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic – are all keen on Aird, though the former and latter could be relegated to League One.
The report also states that Fleetwood Town and Plymouth Argyle, vying for promotion from League One and League Two respectively, have also registered an interest in Aird, who is showing that Rangers were maybe too hasty in letting him leave.
Aird grew up supporting Rangers having moved from Canada in 1987, and came up through the youth ranks at Ibrox, making 85 first-team appearances for the club.

However, former boss Mark Warburton didn’t appear to think too highly of Aird, giving him just four games last season before farming him out on loan to MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, and ultimately releasing him.
Now, Aird’s impressive displays for Falkirk are triggering Championship interest, and new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha may be wishing that he had a chance to work with Aird given his recent defensive crisis which has prompted teenage left back Myles Beerman into playing.
Aird could have played a role under Caixinha, and instead, he looks set for a move to England – something few Gers fans could have expected when the Canadian was released in January. At just 22, Aird still has plenty of potential to fulfil, and he will be keen to show that Rangers – and particularly Warburton – made a mistake in casting him aside when he could have been a valuable asset.
