The long-serving Rangers pair have left Ibrox after having their contracts terminated by manager Mark Warburton.

Fraser Aird and Tom Walsh have taken to social media after having their Glasgow Rangers deals terminated on Wednesday.

Both players began their professional careers at Ibrox, with Canada-born Aird joining the Gers as a 16-year-old and Walsh arriving age nine.

However, neither were able to establish themselves in Mark Warburton’s plans and spent much of 2016 on loan to other clubs.

Aird recently returned from a season-long spell at Vancouver Whitecaps, while Walsh began the year at Dumbarton and ended it at St Mirren.

The former, a right-back who made a total of 85 appearances for Rangers, has already agreed a deal to join Scottish Championship side Falkirk until the end of the campaign.

He posted the following on Instagram:

And Walsh tweeted:

The Ayrshire forward made 13 appearances for Rangers and won numerous caps for Scotland at up to under-19 level.

Rangers have had a busy January window so far, loaning in English Premier League pair Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral and loaning out Matt Crooks and Ryan Hardie.

Will Aird and Walsh be missed by Glasgow Rangers?
